The month of June brings us into the “June Gloom” season of low clouds over the basin, especially as you get closer to the coast. Another incentive to get your IFR ticket, and a rare chance to practice flying in real clouds in the SoCal area.
Following the cancellation of our first Young Eagles event in March due to weather, our next two events at Planes of Fame/Cal Aero and Yanks Air Museum went very smoothly with good weather, a sufficient number of pilots, and enthusiastic Young Eagles and parents. – – –
