DESCRIPTION:– – Unleaded AVGAS for General Aviation – – \n            The meeting will start with a short presentation by our EAA Chapter 92 Air Academy Grads\, Marcus and Daniel. They will give a short report on their one week aviation summer camp experience at EAA HQ in Oshkosh. \nThe main presentation will be Paul Millner to present on unleaded Avgas for General Aviation aircraft. \nOverview: \n\nA brief history of lead phaseout from mogas (automotive gasoline)\nEarly unleaded avgas development efforts\nFAA launches again: Piston Aviation Fuels Initiative\nFirst 100 unleaded STC is granted\nOther contenders progress\nRole of Advocacy – EAGLE\nEnvironmental pushback on leaded avgas\nPotential strategies to address\n\nABOUT OUR SPEAKER: \nPaul Millner worked as an engineer in Chevron’s refining and chemicals business for over thirty-eight years. Paul’s ultimate assignment at Chevron was as the Richmond Refinery’s Manager of Business Development. Since 2002\, his duties included development work on unleaded aviation gasoline\, avgas.
