Mike Jesch will go through using ForeFlight, setting up your airplane for flight plans and performance calculations. Some tips on configuring the weight and balance calculator and why this tool is better than the old pencil and paper method. Then review some basics of flight planning with ForeFlight and weather (if time still available).
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:
Captain Mike Jesch plies the skies of the Pacific Ocean as the Captain of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner by night, but by day he owns and flies a Cessna 182Q based at Fullerton airport (KFUL) in Southern California. He earned his PPL at age 17 while still in high school, and is now an ATP with six type ratings. He became a CFI in 1983, and started airline flying in 1985. Since then, he’s accrued some 25,000 hours of flight time. He is a two-time Master CFI and the Western Pacific Region FAASTeam Rep Of The Year for 2021 and the LGB District FAASTeam Rep Of The Year for 2023.
