SUMMARY:June EAA92 General Meeting - - VMC/IMC Club - - with Jay Steffenhagen
DESCRIPTION:– – VMC/IMC CLUB – VMC/IMC  FLIGHT SCENARIOS DISCUSSION – – \nEAA in 2019 rolled out nationally a new program / chapter type called the VMC/IMC Club.  The idea is to present one or more flight scenarios to the group for discussion\, under the guidance of a flight instructor.  The scenarios are presented as a short video\, and are designed to confront the pilot with making difficult decisions on how / whether to initiate or continue the flight. \nThere are no right or wrong answers\, but the group gets to define and evaluate the risks and sort out the best way to proceed. \nIn addition\, there will be several “Questions of the Month” on rules and regulations and recommended operating procedures. \nTopics may include:\n1.  Tight Pattern\n2.  Fuel Imbalance\n3.  Bounced Landing\n4.  Edge of the Envelope\n5.  Loss of Control\n6.  One Last Look\n7.  Fog in the Mountains\n8.  Into Thin Air\n9.  Too Far to Glide\nABOUT OUR MODERATOR: \nJay Steffenhagen is an ATP and Flight Instructor in Airplanes\, except multi-engine sea and Instruments and Gliders. Jay is a long-time EAA Chapter 92 member\, a Young Eagle pilot\, has over 11\,000 hours in airplanes\, 6\,000 of which is instruction given. Currently Jay is a Flight School Advisor and Cirrus Instructor at Pacific Flight Aviation\, based at John Wayne Airport.
