Ouch!

On April 1st, the joke will be on all of those who try to exercise their FAA privileges based on a paper ticket. If caught, the consequences will not be pleasant since all paper tickets expire on 31 March 2010. Luckily, there is time to get the new plastic tickets, and the cost is only $2.

You can go to www.FAA.gov and use your credit card to get the replacement  ticket within a few days. Alternatively, you can do it by mail with a lapse time of 4-6 weeks;

Every Saturday, progress is being made on the restoration of the first L5A. We are also stocking parts for both L5a airframes.. The latest problem is that a critical component of the elevator trim system does not match the drawing in the manual . Both airframes have the same wrong(?) part.

Volunteering for this construction project is rewarding in knowledge, skill, and fellowship. It is a great way to spend a Saturday morning around planes and friends.

I was given the following web address by an aircraft owner at Corona airport.  This one gives a little more information.  It looks like they dodged the bullet so far this year.
